Bike MS and Team Amulet are proud to present MS Bites. Enjoy live music, local food, and tons of raffle prizes to help fight multiple sclerosis! The Blue Room Bar and participating carts will be donating a portion of their proceeds during the event. All funds raised go to the National MS Society, Oregon Chapter.
THE MUSICAL ACTS
In a blend of folk, jazz and Americana, Olympia-based musician, Bradley Andrews, plays a finger-picking style with strong rhythms and clean melodies. His songs focus on the universal stories of human existence such as falling in love, the search for meaning, and growing old.
On guitar or banjo, the allure of Dark Folk/Americana songstress, Caroline Hecht, creeps up on audiences like a strong drink, effortlessly enchanting. Nominated for “Best Vocalist”, “Best Songwriter”, and “Best Bluegrass Band” by Motif Magazine in 2013, her unique originals are vastly dynamic, drawing frequent comparisons to PJ Harvey, Cat Power, and Mazzy Star.
With haunting vocal harmonies and a flair for improvisation, Portland bluegrass trio, the Stragglers, travel the back roads of bluegrass and country. Winding through barn-burners and ballads, the Stragglers always take the scenic route.
The Blue Room Bar and Cartlandia are committed to community involvement and growth. In this spirit, the Blue Room Bar and participating food carts have committed to donating a portion of their proceeds to the National MS Society during the MS Bites fundraiser.
Conveniently located on the Springwater Corridor at SE 82nd Ave, the Blue Room Bar is the heart of Cartlandia, Portland’s food cart super pod. The bar features live local music, 5 big screen TVs, and a variety of other events. Food from the carts is allowed in the bar with purchase of beverage (either non-alcoholic or alcoholic).
The Blue Room Bar has generously pledged 10% of their proceeds during MS Bites.
